Construction Value - £5.5M budget to deliver a Mixed Use Events Space on the site of the former Members Pavilion.
KJM appointed in Jan ’19 and tasked with delivering a completed scheme before June ’20 for the Annual Royal Highland Show.
Holmes Miller were appointed architects for the scheme in Feb ’19 and the project team secured scheme design sign off and submitted detailed planning application to City of Edinburgh Council on the 2nd week of Mar ’19. Due to time constraints and the need for cost certainty, KJM proposed a negotiated route with Robertson Construction. Awarded Contract and planning consent secured in June ’19. Project was on target to be delivered before June ’20 until Covid pandemic.
Project subsequently completed in Sept ’20 and due to further restrictions and at the time of writing it is planned that the building will be utilised in its principle capacity as the members pavilion for the Annual Royal Highland Show in June ’22.
